Focus and Scope

The Iraq Medical Journal (IMJ) is a quarterly peer-reviewed open access publication of Nab’a Al-Hayat Foundation for Medical Sciences and Health Care, Iraq. IMJ launched in January 2017.

The mission of the journal is to provide a platform for Iraqi researchers and scientists from within the country and abroad for new findings and observations on issues pertinent to medical sciences; and related issues of Iraqi clinical studies. The Journal prefers articles on studies that are well designed and substantiated by adequate and reliable data. The Journal publishes of Editorials | Original Articles | Short Communications | Case Reports | Review Articles | Letters to the Editor.

 

Peer review process:

Iraq Medical Journal is a peer-reviewed journal. All manu­scripts will be acknowledged upon pre­senting to the Jour­nal office, if all stated requirements are met. According to the policy of peer review in our Journal, a large extent of manuscripts are rejected through an in-house evaluation process based on a category of criteria including over flow of manuscripts, out of scope cases, poor outcome, local studies, clinical contents etc.

 

Open Access Policy

IMJ provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making results of the research freely available to the public and scientists across the globe will help in improving the life of human being in all countries of the world. Under the Open Access policy, all articles are available as outlined by the Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0).

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.

If due to unethical practices the journal has to retract an article, the author is responsible for all potential costs of updating the indexing databases.
