Focus and Scope

The Iraqi Journal of Public Health (IJPH) is a quarterly peer-reviewed open access publication of Nab’a Al-Hayat Foundation for Medical Sciences and Health Care, Iraq. IJPH launched in 2017 as a first Iraqi Journal focused on high quality studies in all fields of health sectors.

The mission of the journal is to provide a platform for Iraqi researchers and scientists from within the country and abroad for new findings and observations on issues pertinent to public health and health care; and related issues of Iraqi health promotion studies. The Journal prefers articles on studies that are well designed and substantiated by adequate and reliable data. The main topics that the Journal would consider are: Bioethics, Disaster and Health, Entomology, Epidemiology, Health and Environment, Health Economics, Health Services, Immunology, Medical Genetics, Mental Health, Microbiology, Nutrition and Food Safety, Occupational Health and Oral Health. The Journal publishes of Editorials | Original Articles | Short Communications | Case Reports | Review Articles | Letters to the Editor.

 

Peer Review Process

The Editorial Board of the Journal comprises of a dedicated team of local and international researchers in various fields of health and medical sciences. All members of the Editorial Board actively contribute to the review process and guide the direction of the journal. An expert panel of reviewers constitutes the backbone of the peer-review process. The reviewers evaluate the quality and content of manuscripts submitted for publication.

 

Open Access Policy

IJPH provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making results of the research freely available to the public and scientists across the globe will help in improving the life of human being in all countries of the world. Under the Open Access policy, all articles are available as outlined by the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International), which states that Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format , and Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material, for any purpose, even commercially.

Publication Fees

According to new policy imposed by the journal administration, from now (18 May 2017) corresponding authors are requested to pay the publication charge as mentioned below:

The publicacion fees for Iraqi authors with Iraqi affiliations will be reduced 50% from the above fees.

If due to unethical practices the journal has to retract an article, the author is responsible for all potential costs of updating the indexing databases.

For any specific enquiry, please contact the journal via Email.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
